Preview HTC Touch Viva

Strange return to the roots - Preview HTC Touch Viva

HTC Touch Viva is another in a series of models now standard line Touch. At the same time, is the first model of the series introduces any going away, but returned to its roots..
See photos

Taiwan's HTC has been one of the first manufacturers, who have tried to respond to the Apple iPhone. Before, therefore, started the first iPhone to sell, get to market Windows Mobile communicator HTC Touch. Like the iPhone on the whole market and Touch meant for the equipment operating system from Microsoft revolution. But paradoxically, not even so much in terms of revolutionary control, although it Touch on Windows Mobile has the land.

Leading the Revolution, particularly its size and design as such - Touch model comes with stylish light of a very small dimensions, which between communicators until the absolute rarity. The original model eventually won several options, including models with Slide-keyboard (called Dual). Different variants for different markets with different equipment - sometimes a model wi-fi, sometimes not, the Touch had only 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM, other models have double the memory. It was the same with the performance of the processor - CDMA variant of the 400 MHz processor, while the GSM 201 MHz model. Touch just sold and is still sold in many different forms, despite many shortcomings has gained millions of users.

And so it is no wonder that HTC has decided to take advantage of its popularity. Many Touch it began to develop the more advanced models. The first swallow was the model Touch Cruise, then took a little pause, and the other HTC models, which captures a user has - HTC Touch Diamond Touch and sister to the Slide-qwerty keyboard. These phones include the advance touch ui and business features what they now can in the field of smart phones to buy. For the pre-market HTC also have introduced another donut - HTC Touch HD to deliver its giant screen.

In the time before the holidays would also have to start selling a new model Viva Touch, which will return to the top of the whole family tree - appearance, design and equipment is based on the original model Touch. And frankly, does not practically nothing new. In the meantime, we were able to test only a little sample, which does not offer or TouchFLO user interface. On a machine to run perfectly clean Windows Mobile 6.1 - which are practically the only novelty - the original Touch came on the market yet with the version 5 operating system and soon won an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6th Version 6.1, however, this model has never failed. There will, therefore, to news, as opposed to any change models are available with us and the capacity of RAM and ROM in the amount of 128 and 256 megabytes.

Viva touch on appearance from their original model, but his body is slightly bigger - the specific dimensions are 104.5 x 59 x 15.75 mm. Should be greater thickness is due to the fact that display news is recessed below the level of the front edge. But it was created so that the engineers of the original display Touche add plastic box. Incidentally, the materials are also disappointing for us - the original Touch model was designed with smooth with fine, Viva Touch is covered by ordinary plastic.

The display worsen the possibility to control the phone finger directly on the screen - on the edge of the display is in this case is very difficult to finger target. This is really annoying step backwards. Touch Viva is really is not a novelty. Witness the fact that the device is still powered by the TI OMAP processor with a frequency of 201 MHz, and that the camera is still two megapixels resolution and the lack of auto focus. Yet we can not assess what software manufacturers need to offer phone, but we believe that the programming equipment will be completely standard and thus practically the same as in the original model.

The only reason why so buy Touch Viva will be about the fact that the original model HTC Touch most likely be retrieved from the production and sales. Therefore, if you are the model delivered, try to get it in stores for proper prices. It should go get a later model with 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM. On sale will be approximately the same Touch State, how much should become a model Viva, in its placing on the market - roughly 301 usd approx

Viva touch and although not on the market anything new, but expect it fairly soon begin its price decline. So in 2009 we can look forward to a Windows Mobile communicator with a price around 200 usd approx

HTC Touch HD Vs 3G iPhone: Who is better?

Here I am here to talk about my two favorite ... the terminals tested 3G iPhone and the new HTC Touch HD ..

Many of you ask me what is the best, I tell you now that it is a good fight and that I think iPhone (even with its limitations) reigned king ..

Note .... Reigned!

Try to analyze most aspects of the two terminals

- We start with the versatility

The two contenders, have two completely different operating systems.

3G iPhone is based on the mobile version of OS-X and has a fully graphical "finger friendly" created to be used only with your fingers.

The Touch HD has Windows Mobile, mobile version of the operating system from microsoft.

Opposite is also 'use of the operating system.

3G iPhone is completely closed. You can not install applications unless passing through App Store. You can not send files via Bluetooth and even receive them, while with Windows Mobile all this is possible.

But if iPhone has all these deficiencies, then why in my opinion is one of the best phones in circulation?

Why 3G iPhone, in my opinion, is a particular concept of using the phone.

Everything passes through iTunes, a music library in excellent position to get all options on the phone. It does not have many options, but what it does, he does so excellent.

After a day when already Lord of the operating system, its interface is a simple embarrassing!

All the failures that are interfear in other functions that make it unique.

O love him or hate him!

Instead, the Touch HD?

The Touch Hd, unlike 3G iPhone, is completely open.

Windows Mobile lets you install anything and customize every corner of the operating system. Manages e-mail with attachments, download files from the Web, complete support to the Office package, sending files via BT and opportunity to connect to a PC for use as an archive of mass or Modem.

These are all features that are missing in iPhone.

Now, before you spend about a million old lira, is questionable, but what do I need?

Many people have bought iPhone and then sell it after a few days because disappointed ..

I think buying a Touch HD, this does not happen.

Without doubt, this Round if it wins the Touch HD, because it is very versatile and an excellent working tool.

Clearly, this is my personal opinion!

Soon analyze the Multimedia of the two terminals!

See you soon!

HTC Touch HD... A comparison with Iphone

HTC Touch HD

Look at the best cell phone today. Has a huge fine display, it is fast and can everything from mobile phones can now want.

Top mobile phone now, finally arrived at our table. Exclusively we got the opportunity to try the latest addition to the portfolio of Taiwanese manufacturer HTC Touch HD.

Touch vs. HD. iPhone 3G

Check the comparision images above

Already at the first view of the Touch HD is direct incomparison with the iPhone. It's the big touch screen, minimum hardware keys, above average width and sympathic thickness of 12 mm. That HTC could not be accused of copying the look, designers chose the iPhone slightly sharper lines and metal circuit replace the dark shiny plastic. The phone is due to rounded edges very nicely holds in his hand, is not disruptive and his weight 146 g.

Who is prettier? And who thinner? Better capable and useful?

Back covers of most of the slip change soft-touch, which both prevent the movement of the phone from his hand and especially to each other leaving visible prints. In the top of the metal to offset anti-scratch given lens 5Mpx sensors with autofocusem, which unfortunately does not accompany the LED flash.

Resistance to dirt on the other hand, does not apply to the front part of the phone, which consists almost exclusively surface display. Protective glass covers the surface from the edge to edge, so there is need cleaning. HTC promises that, thanks to alleged glass should not occur in normal use to scratch the surface.

Elegant design lines had to retreat several controls. Instead, this left the function or directional buttons. Below the display can be found only four of sensor keys, two of which are designed to receive or reject / end call button with domečkem to return to the home screen and arrow to act back.

Quick, capacity and convienent

Many elements, or find the perimeter of the phone. In the lower right corner is a hidden stylus, which is next to the new HTC fingers also operate. The underside of the occupying Ext (mini) USB connector with trojpravoúhlým section. He serves on the mounting data cable supplied in the sales package, and chargers. Headphones this due to the presence of a standard 3.5 mm audio connector receiving position at the top edge. Here also lies the traditional key to enable / revival of the device.

Wide badge - fashion communicators recent

The last button on the whole surface of the phone is located on the left side and clamshell form is used to regulate the volume. So instead of pressing to trigger the camera button voice notes, communications manager or the Jog Dial.

The main pride communicator is a complete data equipment and connectivity, which is currently can be found. Of course it is Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G data module, including HSDPA, and GPS. The only thing we seek in vain, the survival of Infrared.

HTC Touch HD is one of the few Windows Mobile communicators and as the first representative of brand 3.5 mm audio jack • turn-on button • • stylus sensor keys below the display

HTC Touch HD used to work fast processor stepping on the 528 MHz and a sufficient amount of 288 MB of RAM. Thanks to these parameters is to work with the environment of knowledge no less than for other Windows Mobile communicators. Was implemented again version 6.1 Professional operating system from Microsoft.

Masterful display

Why you HTC Touch HD deserves to be compared with the iPhone is the user interface TouchFlo 3D. This is still refined and successfully throughout the structure to the otherwise little rigid system. In some applications (music player, camera), so you never get to the classic Windows mobile environment.

Thanks to huge color active display with a diagonal measurement of 3.8 "and an excellent resolution of 480 x 800 pixels is a touch easier control of a finger. Even in the nested parts of the system and context menus does not have to be drag the stylus - the font and icons are large enough and can accurately hit . Greater in. I may have a problem when writing on the virtual keyboard.

5 megapixel camera unfortunately lacks the flash

The display not only responds to the movement of a finger (stylus), but also to the sensitivity of pressing. This feature is necessary, for example, in camera, which take account of the failure to print the hardware button must touch the trigger. On the weaker side finger object adjust the focus on strongly on the camera capturing the image. However, the iPhone screen is still not ready to multishot control, and so can not use certain intuitive gestures, for example, when zooming photos.

Death iPhone and who else?

The back cover is plastic and its lowering is just perfect. There is a need to develop a relatively great power in his bottom and then push upwards. In the belly of the hidden battery with a capacity of 1 350 mAh, which according to initial findings endurance record does not in any way, especially in the intensive use of the device. Under the cover is added to the SIM card and memory card microSD (HC). That can extend 512 megabytes of internal memory to Max. The slots for the cards lurks a breath speaker and tiny red button reset.

While the new HTC Touch HD from well-known reasons, often compared with the iPhone, direct competition is mainly for the communicator of the Samsung i900 Omnia, to a lesser extent, may jeopardize the Diamond in their own ranks. Over the two devices clearly stands out in particular to its large and fine display, and in this context, the more comfortable control without having to use a stylus.

The best mobile device currently benefiting mainly from facilities in addition to its agility in placing on the market. Following the presentation in mid-September should have less than two months later get into the stores at a price of around 800 dollers. It can not wait.

HTC Touch HD will be the second telephone Android?

HTC Touch HD will be the second telephone Android?

The most highly anticipated is always only one. In the field of Windows Mobile communicators to the present, the HTC Touch HD. Internet from circulating yesterday on speculation that the device could be a second phone platform Android.

The biggest advantage of the new HD Touch is undoubtedly a giant screen, which you measured by the diagonal of the entire ninety-six mm. Thanks to such a large display will be the vast majority of the operations carried out without the need for drawn touch pen.

Control of the fingers is predestined new mobile platform called Android. The advantages as the first show in the body, T-Mobile G1. The second telephone Android would PhoneDog according to the server could become the HTC Touch HD.

It is of course on unfounded information, although according to the words of Noah Kravitz met two mutually independent sources. Neither one of them is not a direct link to HTC or T-Mobile. It is clear that the Americans variation Touch HD welcomed, as the version with Windows Mobile, according to all sources. That it was actually some truth? Have no choice but to wait to be referred to speculation finally confirmed.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic [TUBE] First Look...

Meet Nokia's Smarter Iphone

While its not Nokia's first touchscreen phone (anyone out there remember the 7710?), the 5800 XpressMusic is certainly the first to come out of Finland with a mainstream appeal. What we've alternately known as the "Tube" throughout much of its development cycle is the first production device to run S60 5th Edition -- the fourth major overhaul of Nokia's ubiquitous smartphone platform since 2002 and the first to support fingers, styli, and high-res displays. Speaking of high-res displays, the 5800 comes equipped with an impressive 3.2-inch 640 x 360 resistive touchscreen to go along with its 3.2-megapixel autofocus cam, Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm jack, and a microSD slot with support for 16GB cards. It'll be available in three versions -- European HSDPA, North American HSDPA, and GSM only -- and ships this quarter in black, red, and blue for €279 (about $392) unlocked with an 8GB card thrown in for good measure. Music fans with voracious appetites for new tunes might want to hold out, though, for the Comes With Music-equipped version that follows on "early next year" at a to-be-announced price.

LG KP500, Common man's Iphone

Full Touch Screen Handsets are No Longer Untouchable

Seoul, Korea, September 30th, 2008- LG Electronics (LG), announces the launch of LG KP500 with an affordable introduction price never offered before. This attractively-priced full touch screen handset is complete with the latest touch technology and features found in the existing high-end full touch screen handsets currently available on the market.

Slim-profiled and lightweight, the LG KP500 comes in black, Vandyke brown, Anodizing silver, and Elegant gold, giving consumers more choices for their personal tastes.

As a slim and stylish handset, the LG KP500 is a GSM phone which can operate in four frequency bands, giving it a far-reaching reception range, and upon its global release, the LG KP500 can be used in 39 languages. But no matter what language one speaks, the vivid and intuitive user interface of the LG KP500 is simple for anyone to understand with vivid icons on the wide 3 inch screen.

Keeping in touch with friends has never been easier as the LG KP500 has the latest UI that allows the user to attach a friend's photo for the speed dial feature and then page through the portraits and touch the friend to be called. "We optimized the user interface to keep the tactile operations smooth and simple which is necessary when you’re opening up a new technology to a wide group of people," said Skott Ahn.

The LG KP500 has an embedded stylus pen concealed in the base that can be easily removed for the advanced handwriting recognition program that allows the user to write memos and text messages, and also edit photo images by touching the screen with the pen tip. The QWERTY onscreen keyboard slides into view when the LG-KP500 is held horizontally, and the auto rotating display always shifts images or documents for proper viewing no matter which way the handset is turned.

Also packed into the LG KP500 are motion sensor games that are played by turning, flipping, and shifting the handset for a more active and fun gaming experience.

The LG KP500 will be available at the end of October 2008 in Europe and then on to the rest of the world. The price of the LG KP500 will be announced during the launch.

BlackBerry Storm 9500

BlackBerry Storm 9500

The highly anticipated BlackBerry Storm 9500 today made its first official appearance, popping up on German Vodafone web site. Images and specs of the first touchscreen RIM-manufactured device have been floating around the net for what seems like ages but it hasn’t yet been officially announced. If all the rumored features are confirmed when the device actually sees daylight then the Apple iPhone 3G might be up for quite a challenge.

The specifications of the BlackBerry Storm 9500 that are already known include a 3.3” touchscreen with a resolution of 360 x 480 pixels. The tri-band 3G with HSDPA and the quad-band GSM support make it capable of global roaming. The Storm 9500 is running on a 624 MHz CPU and has 192 MB of RAM and utilizes a new version of the BlackBerry OS, optimized for touchscreen input.

Some of the other extras include a built-in GPS (with A-GPS functionality), microSD card slot with support for up to 8GB cards and a 3.5mm standard audio jack. The lengthy specs sheet comes in the reasonable 112.5 x 62.2 x 13.9 mm package which makes it sound as quite an offer. The Blackberry Bold should also have Wi-Fi connectivity, but as of now it's not 100%.
